Your High Tea in the Winery Itinerary
Indulge in a beautifully curated selection of sweet and savoury treats, paired with a glass of Sparkling or your choice of tea or coffee, all served in our state-of-the-art winemaking facility. High Tea includes:
Arrive at 2:00 PM – Be Welcomed in Style
Step into the iconic Kies Family Wines winery and take your seat at your private table for two (or your reserved group setting). Soak in the atmosphere of the live music, twinkling lights and get ready for an indulgent afternoon.
Sip & Celebrate – Bottomless Bubbles
Choose your favourite drop from our sparkling range – Sparkling Shiraz, Sparkling Rosé, or Sparkling Moscato – and enjoy bottomless refills throughout the experience. Raise a glass to the occasion and let the bubbles set the tone.
Indulge – A Barossa High Tea Like No Other
Taste your way through a curated selection of savoury and sweet delights, inspired by the Barossa Valley’s rich German heritage. From traditional baked goods to moreish savouries, each item celebrates local flavour and history.
Unwind – Live Music & Amazing Atmosphere
Relax for the afternoon with live acoustic music floating through the air. Whether you’re treating someone special or catching up with friends, enjoy the vineyard views, wine, and welcoming vibe of Kies Family Wines.

The High Tea runs on Saturdays scheduled in advance at 2pm and run for 60-90 minutes.
Tickets are $48 per adult and $30 per child.
We are proud to partner with the iconic Apex Bakery in Tanunda, renowned for its traditional German delicacies since 1924. Their historic wood oven has been running continuously for over a century, adding a special touch to every bite. While we’re delighted to showcase their authentic offerings at this event, please note that many of these traditional recipes do contain gluten. As a result, we regret that we’re unable to cater to gluten-free dietary requirements on this occasion. For all other dietary requirements, feel free to send an email to events@kieswines.com.au and we will look after you.
Yes, there’s a little more to enjoy on the day of the high tea! Our cellar door will be open from 9am to 4pm, so if you’d like to take home any of the wines you’ve sampled, you’re very welcome to do so. The Monkey Nut Café will also be open, offering its full menu if you’re looking to enjoy a coffee or bite to eat before or after the event. To make the day even more special, we’ll have live music from talented local musicians—adding the perfect touch to an already unforgettable high tea experience!

My husband and I had exceptional High Tea experience at Kies Family Winery. The food was excellent and so was the bottomless sparkling wine. The tea which was also bottomless was perfect.
