2019 was a historic year for Kies Family Wines. Not only did we double our vineyard but we built a state-of-the-art winemaking facility for Winemaker Bronson Kies, exactly 50 years after his Grandfather Ken (founder of Kies Family Wines) began making wine in 1969.
We are now offering an exclusive winemaking experience where you can not only tour this incredible facility, but immerse yourself in the winemaking process, by tasting and comparing wines from the barrel, with Bronson Kies exclusively.

Step One: Welcome to Kies Family Wines
Arrive at 10:15am at the Kies Family Wines cellar door, where you will be warmly welcomed by winemaker Bronson Kies. Begin your Barossa experience with a refreshing glass of sparkling wine and an introduction to the day ahead.
Step Two: Behind the Scenes Winery Tour
Join Bronson for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the state-of-the-art winemaking facility. Hear stories about the Kies family history and vineyard practices, and soak in this immersive winemaking experience. Be sure to capture photos in the barrel hall and production areas—perfect mementos of your visit.
Step Three: Tasting & Cheese Plate
Enjoy a hosted tasting of a curated selection of Kies wines, perfectly paired with a Barossa Valley Cheese Plate, featuring locally sourced produce. Insights from the winemaker will be shared throughout the tasting and questions are encouraged.
Step Four: Relax and Unwind
After your guided tasting, take time to browse the cellar door or enjoy a glass of your favourite wine at leisure. This is the perfect opportunity to soak up the relaxed Barossa atmosphere, take in the stunning views, and perhaps select a bottle (or two) to take home.

The barrel room tour with Bronson was hands down the best winery experience of my and my husbands life! The Winemakers Tour was First Class. Winemaker Bronson patiently took us through the process of taking the little pearls of joy from the vines, and transforming them into bottles of happiness.
From the different processes utilised for the different grape varieties, Bronsons’ deserved pride in their State of the Art facilities was all explained in laymen’s terms. This was then followed by a seven glass tasting, all patiently detailed in easy to understand terms. A highly worthwhile experience in a very pleasant setting.
