SHEPARD VUK: White Shiraz First of its Kind

SHEPARD VUK: White Shiraz First of its Kind

This exquisite White Shiraz is the perfect tribute to Shepard Vuk (Wolf in Croatian) Kies, son of Bronson and Lidija.

As a shepherd protects his flock from wolves, this delicate & floral dry white is made from the biggest  & boldest of the Barossa’s red varieties, Shiraz.

Nectarine and apricot are complemented by delicate floral notes of Lilly and Jasmine, finished with a crisp acidity.

WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT THE WHITE SHIRAZ:

This white wine is made from the Barossa’s boldest red grape variety and the very first of it’s kind worldwide. Curious? Come and find out how it was made.

The White Shiraz is a celebration of Baby Shepard, 7th Generation of the Kies family and son to winemaker Bronson Kies.

See over the past few years we encountered a problem.

We only make wine from the fruit grown in our own vineyard, and subsequently our one dry white, the Hill Block Riesling (95 points in Winestate Magazine) was selling out within four months, leaving us with a busy cafe and cellar door, and no dry white wine over Summer.

We have a vineyard which is plentiful in the Shiraz grape variety – hence the White Shiraz was borne.
