We wanted to visit some of the less “mainstream” vineyards in the Barossa area to sample and hopefully discover some hidden gem wines. Kies Wines was one of the first we came across. Their whole approach is very low key – warm and welcoming – like stepping into someone’s home and being offered a glass of wine or two! We never felt any pressure to buy and we really discovered some wonderful reds – which is what we like and which are only sold at the cellar door. We walked away having purchased some lovely wines which can be drunk now or kept for years to come. A definite one to have on your list. What a find!

The most impeccable, fantastic service, despite visiting on a very busy Mother’s Day weekend. We were treated with a taste of delicious sparkling rose upon arrival before Kat took us through a thorough wine taste with incredible wines and even better chats. The food was 10/10 (with the kids pack such great value for money). The live music and atmosphere couldn’t be faulted. A very special place that we cannot wait to return to.

Highly recommend a visit to Kies Family Wines when you’re in the Barossa Valley. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the cellar door is full of history and warmth. We did a wine tasting and were pleasantly surprised with the range of wines on offer. Our host, was very informative & friendly. She made our experience one to remember. We are now proud wine club members and look forward to enjoying these exclusive, cellar-door only, fine wines at home. Supporting a family owned business is a feel-good decision.
