7 September: Merlot Immersion Masterclass

Our Merlot Immersion Masterclass is a unique experience celebrating all things Merlot.

First, immerse yourself in our vineyard, where our famous Deer Stalker and Monkey Nut Tree Merlot vines are grown.

Bronson Kies, 6th Generation of the Kies family and qualified Winemaker, will talk you through the history of the vines, and the pruning processes which have taken place in the last couple of months.

Secondly, settle in at your wine station outside the cellar door, with panoramic views of the Lyndoch Ranges, where you will have the opportunity to sample three different Merlot wines:

• Spring Rosé Merlot -Discover the wine making process behind the Rosé wine style.
• Deer Stalker Merlot -Find out how this wine stands out from the rest and try the very first drops of the 2019 vintage.
• Monkey Nut Tree Merlot – Taste and compare to discover how oak maturation affects the structure and body of the wine.

WE WILL BE OPENING THE FIRST BOTTLE OF 2019 DEER STALKER AT THIS EVENT – WHAT AN INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!
